Born To Be Wild

From Rock Star to Wildlife Advocate

About the Film

John Kay tells his personal story in this film - from his childhood memories in communist East Germany, to his Rock ‘n Roll baptism via American Armed Forces Radio in West Germany, his high school years in Canada, his musical beginnings, and more: - The story continues with his formation of the band 'Steppenwolf' in Los Angeles, the band’s career with its up and downs and its subsequent triumphs: -  And finally John narrates, and illustrates with Video footage, how he gradually became a passionate Wildlife Advocate. The 15 Dollar Minimum Donation for viewing this 65-minute documentary – with its numerous video clips about Steppenwolf, John’s later journeys to Cambodia, Africa & Indonesia, nearly 200 images, and some music - goes to the benefit of the Maue Kay Foundation which John and his wife Jutta formed in 2005 and which supports many NGOs and wildlife defenders around the world. We believe you will truly enjoy viewing this film. By doing so you will also support the Maue Kay Foundation efforts. We thank you in advance.
